After experimenting initially with a blank page to explore different techniques and effects which I could potentially include in the actual band website, I decided to use a recommended pre-existing template. I was drawn to this template as, although marketed towards "comedians, actors and entertainment professionals", I recognised the bold and vivacious colour scheme as being similar to the aesthetic of pop-band 'Two Door Cinema Club'. Using this template, I first made some design alterations; I changed the initial salmon-pink homepage to a dark background. Because I intended to use white typography, it was appropriate to use black in order to ensure a high-contrast between the foreground and background content for readability purposes.
