Band Website Content
In order to ensure that I include the key features and conventions within music websites, I have planned below the content I am going to produce and present.
1) The Music Video
I intend to structure the website so that this is the first focal point by embedding the music video into the website design. This was implemented commonly throughout the websites I analysed including that of The 1975, Ariana Grande and Post Malone.
2) Tour Information
I researched popular UK live music venues and collated a list which the band will 'perform' for, drawing inspiration from these websites;

https://www.standard.co.uk/go/london/music/the-small-london-music-venues-you-need-to-have-on-your-radar-a3895311.html
I then finalised a list of UK band events:
- Dingwalls, London
- The 100 club, London
- The Castle & Falcon, Birmingham
- Rock City, Nottingham
- THEKLA, Bristol
- The Shipping Forecast, Liverpool
- The Roadhouse, Manchester
- The Leadmill, Sheffield
- The Brudenell Social Club, Leeds
- Nice N Sleazy, Glasgow
- The Caves, Edinburgh
3) Band Biography
To inform and introduce the band to consumers, I am using a band biography to communicate their values, history and accomplishments accurately. To consolidate and assert identity, following the music video, there will be high-quality photography which I have taken from the music video shoot as well as an isolated photoshoot to identify the band and its members.
Below I have planned common points in band biographies:
- where they are based (Kent) /
- their history (formed in 2019) /
- their style influence and similar sounds (research that)
- accomplishments (Radio 1 song of the week)
Wet Table was surprised when Greg James announced their track '...' as song of the week in early October; however this group of prodigious youngsters and their pop sound have been causing a buzz in the Kentish music scene since their debut album, '...', in September 2019.
The band formed when the singer/songwriter Theo Hudson met guitarist Cara Taylor at a local concert. Fuelled by a mutual passion for pop style, the two, along with drummer Eve Harrison began recording original material in Theo's basement-turned-home studio. It quickly became clear to the trio that they were producing something worthwhile, after their first demos started picking up momentum on Soundcloud.
Soon signed to SONY Music, Wet Table have spiced up the mix with their 90s revival and influences from new wave and indie sounds, resulting in the national success of their album '...'. Elated with this and their devoted fans in Kent, the group have set their sites on a global scale, and are prepared to "get back to what it's all about; producing great music!".
4) Videos
Aside from the central music video which will be showcased in a separate section nearer the top of the homepage, I will producing an interview following the unique style of Vevo UK and Teen Vogue's videos.
5) Gallery (Instagram)
Not only to follow the convention of encouraging online interactivity between artist and consumer which is common with band websites, but also to showcase high-quality photography which is similarly a typical feature, I am implementing a image gallery, connected to the band's instagram page which I will create.

6) Contact
Here I have planned contact information for the band's personal appearances coordinator, publicist and management team, using fake names and personal details such as randomly generated phone numbers and email addresses.
Personal Appearances - Josh Schroeder, +44 3069 990413, jschroeder@mail.co.uk
Publicist - Helen Asch, +44 3069 990310, hasch@mail.co.uk
Management - The Vita Talent Group, 020 7946 0531, vtgroup@mail.co.uk
7) Merchandise
Aside from the photography and music video itself which I will be showcasing, I intend to include a range of other features to create a sense of credibility as a genuine band. These products include:
- Promotional tote bags
- Enamel pins and patches
- Customised t-shirts and hoodies
- Guitar picks
- Phone cases
Firstly, I have determined a few structural features I am going to include:
- Typography - Using Sans Serif Style Fonts
Title Font Size = 30-70
Subtitle Font Size = 22-30
Paragraph Font Size = 16-20
- Techniques such as parallax scrolling and small animations
- Embedded music video
